Missing Retsil Man Found

PORT ORCHARD

A 69-year-old man who lives at the Retsil Veteran's Home in South Kitsap who went missing was found early Wednesday, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities believed Richard A. Ireland had gone somewhere in Seattle. He left Retsil on a bus around 11 a.m. Tuesday and was spotted taking the Bremerton-Seattle ferry later in the day.

Seattle police officers found him at the Seattle train station at about 1 a.m., according to Scott Wilson, Kitsap County Sheriff's spokesman.

He was released by police to his family.

I pray that he will be found - and soon. I hate to think of the people who would victimize a man who is wheelchair bound and unable to tell anyone about anything. God, please watch over him and bring him home safe.

I too am greatful for this man being found. I can't imagine the not knowing of where someone is and if their ok. I agree with brem_vet that this man could've easily been taken advantage of or even being hurt so again, it's nice knowing that he is safely home.
